Wilhelm Gustloff
On 30th January 1945 left port in Gdynia with more than 10 500 passengers (official data: 173 crew, 918 seamen from 2nd school division, 162 wounded, 4424 refugees and 373, 17-25 years old, women from Kriegsmarine support service; there were also thousends of civilians). At 21:10 ship was hit by 3 torpedoes from soviet submarine S-13 and after about 50 minutes sank. Different historical sources esitimate the number of deaths on about 9300, mostly women and children.

General von Steuben
On 9th February 1945 left port in Pillau with 2000 wounded, 230 nurses, 30 doctors and about 2500 civil refugees. At 0:50 was hit by two torpedoes from the same soviet submarine S-13. After the explosions, the ship started to burn and sank after 7 minutes. Only 300 soldiers were saved. About 4500 people died.

Goya
On 16th April 1945 Goya with 6385 people onboard left port in Hela. About 15 minutes before midnight was hit by 2 torpedoes from soviet submarine L-3. The ship broke on two parts and after 4 minutes sank. The water that time was only 3 degrees of Celsius. Only 182 people were saved. Over 6200 died.

For comparison: 1500 people died on Titanic.
